Au 1465 takes its name from the elevation in meters of the Champex-Lac resort. The location offers a breathtaking view of the lake and the mountains that surround it.

 

The DNA of Au Club Alpin is clearly present in this cuisine, which is resolutely seasonal, locally inspired, and promotes organic cultivation. Its passion, authenticity, and emphasis on flavor forge its culinary identity.

 

Convinced that the epicurean experience does not stop at the plate, we have taken care in every detail of our restaurant. The design is subtle and inspired by the surrounding nature. It wonderfully combines style and authenticity while offering a breathtaking view of the lake. The setting invites nature to join you at your table.

Our chef Mariano Buda

Originally from Abruzzo, Chef Mariano Buda trained in the best gourmet restaurants in France and Switzerland. In 2022, he met the Thétaz family who entrusted him with the reins of the restaurant Au 1465, with the ambition of making it a Michelin-starred establishment.

 

Right from the start of this collaboration, Mariano Buda promulgated his vision of a cuisine centered on local produce. He creates dishes using meat from the region's best suppliers, fish from Lake Geneva, and permaculture-raised fruit and vegetables from the Rhône plain. Combining Italian and French techniques and cultures, he sublimates his raw materials while strictly respecting seasonality.

 

The Chef's inspiration comes mainly from the landscape and the surrounding nature that define Au 1465’s privileged location.

 

Mariano Buda's style is consistently reflected in the restaurant's sleek, light-filled interior and waterfront terrace. Here, a passion for aesthetics and a focus on flavors combine to create an immersive experience for epicureans.

 

In recognition of his creativity, passion, and professionalism, Mariano Buda and his kitchen staff have earned Au 1465 a Michelin star and 17 Gault et Millau points.

THE CELLAR

Boasting several hundred different vintages, the Cave du 1465 gives pride of place to the best vineyard and wine artisans from all the wine-growing regions of Switzerland as well as from the surrounding countries. Created by a renowned sommelier, in collaboration with the hotel owner, the collection focuses on the Alpine region and its emblematic grape varieties.

 

The best way to discover our cellar is to book our “Wine Tasting” experience. This distinctive experience will be created by our sommelier especially for you and tailored to your tastes. Together you will choose a theme and a format so that your tasting is unique.

 

We also offer our wines to take away. Come visit us, benefit from the advice of our sommelier, and makes your selection from among 1,000 labels from the exclusive Au Club Alpin cellar.

 

THE BAR

A place for living and sharing, our Au Service Course bar and its plush armchairs invite you to relax. Our guests can enjoy a cocktail or a cordial from our region that our sommelier will be happy to serve while offering the background story.

 

Enjoy our afternoon snack menu from 15.00 to 18.00 Wednesday through Sunday. In July and August, the bar is open Tuesday through Sunday.

Celebrating a special moment Au Club Alpin

It is possible to reserve part of the restaurant for your private events. Up to 30 people can use the private terrace for an aperitif and a private dining room overlooking the lake.

Au Club Alpin has been designed to offer its clients maximum relaxation. In fact, with a capacity of only 16 people, you can enjoy a very pleasant mountain tranquillity.
